Romantic comedy film with a family backdrop

Director S R Prabhakaran has mentioned that the film Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal is a romantic story with the family backdrop. Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal is a film which is being produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under the banner Red Giant Movies.

Udhayanidhi Stalin is donning the lead role while Nayanthara is pairing with him. Santhanam is donning an important role in this film. Harris Jayaraj is composing music. S R Prabhakaran while speaking about this film said, "I had narrated the village based story in a comedy way in the film Sundarapandian.

In this film I have narrated the city based in a comedy way. Udhayanidhi will look entirely different from his earlier film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. He has acted very well. After the release of this film, he will be the favourite hero of everyone. He will look new and fresh in each scene.

Though this is a romantic story, it will be in such a way that everyone will accept it. Importance for family is given in this film. Santhanam and Udhayanidhi are sharing the screen in this film. The scenes in which both will appear will tear the stomachs of the audience. 75% shooting of this film has been completed. Only 15 days shooting is remaining."
