Actor Surya celebrates his birthday today

Actor Surya celebrated his 38th birthday today along with his family members. His fans indulged in various charitable activities like blood donations and other deeds.

Surya debuted through the film Neruku Ner. Actor Surya entered the film industry with the identification as actor Shiva Kumar’s son. Though Surya had acted in films like Poovellam Kettuppar and Friends, the film Nandha directed by Bala was the turning point in his career. Only this film fetched him a good name.

After this, he continued to act in super hit films like Pithamagan, Kaaka Kaaka, Ghajini, Vaaranam Aayiram, Ayan and Singam. He donned different kinds of roles in these films and proved his mettle.

He who had acted in 29 films is considered as one of the leading actors of Tamil film industry. The film Singam 2 in which Surya donned the lead role is running in packed houses. In the year 2006, he married actress Jyothika. They have two kids Diya and Dev.

Apart from acting, Surya has formed a Trust called Agaram Foundations and through this he is helping the needy and poor children to pursue their studies.
