Actress Manjula passes away all of a sudden

Actress Manjula who is the wife of actor Vijaya Kumar has been residing at Alapakkam near Chennai. Last night she fell from her cot and sustained a severe injuries in the stomach. She was rushed to a private nursing home at Porur.

She was treated in the intensive care unit. She who aged 59 years passed away a couple of hours ago. Her mortal body has been kept in her residence at Alapakkam for the people to pay their final tributes.

Actress Manjula is one of the leading yester year actresses who had paired with almost all the stalwarts like MGR, Shivaji Ganesan and N T Rama Rao. She who was born in 1953, made her debut as child actress in the film Shanthi Nilayam in the year 1969. She was aged 13 years at that time.

In 1971, Manjula paired with MGR in the film titled Rickshawkaran. Later on she paired with many actors including stalwarts Shivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, N T R, Nageswara Rao, Shoban Babu, Kamal Haasan, Rajnikanth and others. She has acted in more than 100 films including Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

She fell in love with actor Vijaya Kumar while she was pairing with him in the film Unnidam Mayangugiren. She married him. She has three daughters Vanitha, Preetha and Sridevi. Her last rites will be performed in the evening.
